All of the trademark Canblaster touches are there. The stuttering and clipped percussion and 909 claps, the house-y organ stabs and of course an intense production quality, that borders on unbridled sound-design. This track makes me feel like I’m in an enormous clicking, clanking, ticking clock, which also happens to be a Parisian nightclub (and I think there’s a sexy lady whispering in my ear).
GO GET IT! and cop the “Master of Complications” EP when it drops on Nightshifters in the near future. Can’t wait for that Para One & Teki Latex remix!

Diff’rent Flex Debut

December 1st is the debut of the new monthly Diff’rent Flex at The Baltic Room. The night which is curated by Carcrashset record label head ILL Cosby, will feature a particular flavor and theme each month. The first one is gonna be a wicked night of tropical & funky tunes!!
Join us at the newly revamped Baltic Room for the inaugural edition of Diff’rent Flex on December 1, 2010. Our first show employs four of Seattle’s top DJs for a UK funky and tropical house sound spectacular. KEXP‘s Positive Vibrations host KID HOPS will lead the charge. Dope City Kids’ BALIANNE has been growing in notoriety for her recent UKF sets in the city. The co-head of the Pow Wow club night at Rebar, DJ SPIRIT FINGAZ, will be dropping some bass stunners to get feet into motion. The lineup is rounded out by Car Crash Set head and Diff’rent Flex resident ILL COSBY. Entry is $5 and this is a 21+ affair.
